PTO ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING AND THE EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTION
Dear Mountain Oaks Families,
The time has come for our wonderful PTO to have its Annual Business meeting and along with that comes our election for Executive Board Members of the Non-Profit business side of the PTO.

We invite you to join us on October 24, 2024 for our annual business meeting. At this meeting we give a recap of our year, look at the financials, go over any pressing business as usual, and most importantly finalize our slate of candidates for the Exec Board election.

If you are interested in running for a position on the board, please see the documents attached to this webpage which include: The bylaws of the Mountain Oaks PTO non-profit, a handy comparison of what a Member can do compared to the Exec Board members, and finally an application to fill out to be considered for a position on the board.

To be clear, you do not need to be a board member to come to the meetings, share ideas, volunteer at events/fundraisers, or be a part of the PTO in general. The Executive Board is a group of people that have decided to be dedicated to running the business side of the PTO; voting to approve fundraisers/events that we sponsor, voting to approve financial statements, and willing to be at each meeting so that we can run the meetings smoothly.
The details around the election are as follows:

The election candidates will be finalized at the end of the 10/24 meeting.

The election will begin on 10/28 and close on 11/15.

The voting will be done by paper ballots which every household enrolled at Mountain Oaks will have 1 vote.

The ballots will be tabulated and validated by a third party

The elected board members will be installed at the special meeting after Thanksgiving break.
